Turn a campaign goal into a practical gift target. Enter the amount you want to raise, what you have already received and an expected average gift. Adjust the assumptions to see how much work remains.
Start with the example amounts or enter your own. No signup required.
Gift count is rounded up. These are planning assumptions, not a prediction of donations. Processing fees and campaign expenses are not deducted.
The remaining goal is your target minus the amount already received. Divide that remaining amount by the expected average gift and round up to a whole gift. If the received amount already meets the goal, the number of additional gifts is zero.
For example, a $50,000 goal with $10,000 received leaves $40,000. At an average gift of $100, that means 400 additional gifts. At $250, it means 160. These are scenarios to review against your donor history and outreach capacity.
Use comparable past gifts when they are available. A major gift can make the historical average much larger than a typical donation. Try a lower and a higher average to see how sensitive the plan is. This calculator counts gifts, not unique donors: one person can give more than once.
Enter received funds separately from unpaid pledges. If your goal is net revenue, account for processing fees and campaign expenses in your planning. The calculator does not subtract them or estimate how many people will respond.
A goal becomes easier to manage when the team can connect gifts, campaign progress and donor follow-up. Long Drive Leads supports nonprofit campaign goals and donor records through assisted onboarding, with the nonprofit pack starting on Pro. Public donation checkout requires Stripe Connect.
